A minimum of 10 years’ experience at senior management level in an organisation of comparable or greater size and scope
Demonstrable experience of growing impact and reach, and of managing large budgets
Knowledge/understanding of health and social care commissioning and/or provision, and of the new health and care landscape
Familiar with the regulatory environment for charities and/or health and social care
Demonstrable experience of setting and/or delivering successfully on organisational strategy
Desirable Experience
Knowledge/experience of the palliative and end of life care sector and specifically hospices

As would be expected with a role of this seniority, there are often work commitments in the evenings and at weekends. The postholder will be expected to travel within the hospice’s catchment area and within the South East, with occasional national travel. It is preferred that the postholder lives within the hospice’s catchment area or if not, within easy commute.
