Experience
Senior roles in marketing, such as Marketing Director, Head of Digital, or equivalent, preferably with experience in retail or consumer-facing sectors.
Proven track record in leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Understanding of retail operations, customer journey, and sales cycles.
Skills
Deep understanding of marketing principles, including brand, customer engagement, instore marketing and visual merchandising.
Experience of establishing and optimising digital platforms, e-commerce, social media marketing, SEO/SEM, digital analytics, and digital customer experience.
Financial literacy to understand budgets, ROI on marketing activities, and resource allocation.
Understanding of diverse audience groups including customers, donors, suppliers, and volunteers.
2. Commercial Property
Experience
Experience of managing a portfolio of commercial properties, ideally with retail exposure.
Proven track record negotiating commercial leases, renewals, and break clauses.
Experience with property acquisitions, disposals, or leasehold enfranchisement.
Familiarity with property law, landlord-tenant regulations, and charity-specific property considerations.
Knowledge of facilities management and upkeep relevant to retail premises.
Skills
Expertise in negotiating, managing, and reviewing commercial leases and property contracts.
Ability to contribute to property portfolio strategy including acquisition, disposal, and optimisation of retail spaces.
Skills in identifying and mitigating risks related to property liabilities, lease obligations, and compliance.
